To address the difficult task of releasing a lift car once the safety gear has been activated travelling upwards, RALOE will supply as standard on all our EMESA car slings with a traveller overspeed governor, a safety gear system only on downwards direction, using an overspeed switch and the machine brake to trip the lift upwards.

This new system will simplify the safety gear testing and will avoid the current difficulties after a lift safety gear is engaged travelling upwards.

The SEL-20 overspeed switch safety circuit is a safety component according to Annex IV part A of Lift Directive 2014/33/EU, certified by TÜV Rheinland. Therefore, all installations will include the EU Type Examination.
